Meet the Indigenous of the Himalayas

Xenorama is currently in the studio of the sculpturist Parul Thacker, based in Mumbai, India. Parul specialises in capturing unprecedented realms between our perceptional grid in form of hypertangible plastic pieces. These serve as a foundation for projected portraits of indigenous people from the Himalayas and are set into motion by dropping a stone into a large basin. Tucked into ambiences of respective mountain ranges, audiovisual caustics and embers of resin, the encounter with distant souls is brought to life in individual fashion. One at a time.

To be exhibited and experienced in Calcutta, West Bengal.
