INTERACTIVE STEEL WORKS MODEL
INTERACTIVE STEEL WORKS MODEL
For the new permanent exhibition in the foyer of the Henrichshütte Industrial Museum, we developed an interactive model that illustrates the processes involved in steel production.
The exhibit depicts the former factory site, including areas that no longer exist, using 3D-printed and laser-cut models. These are arranged on multitouch tables and complemented by precise animations that can be played on the screens. At seven stations, visitors can follow the entire process—from raw material delivery and blast furnace operations to steelmaking and finishing—supported by narrated commentary.
The combination of a tactile model and digital overlay creates a multi-sensory experience. Two media-scenographic installations further enhance and enrich the presentation within the permanent exhibition.
